Transport your students into a world of education, Disney-style, within the magical setting of the Disney Parks that showcases how valuable principles learned in the classroom make exciting things happen every day at our Disney attractions. Taught by specially trained Disney facilitators, these hands-on courses increase learning desire, encourage students to reach their potential and demonstrate the importance of teamwork, all in a unique setting that combines the classroom with the real world (most programs 3 hours).

Applied Sciences

Everyday ChemistryEnergy & Waves Physics Lab 101 at Magic Kingdom® Park

Discover light and sound as a form of energy and how to use them in practical application. See first-hand how these elements are a vital part in creating world class attractions and how Disney uses these physical properities to entertain and amaze guest from all over the world. (grades 3-5)

Energy & Waves Physics Lab 201 at Magic Kingdom® Park

Students will witness physics principles at work in creating true to form Disney attractions. With hands-on experiments and behind-the-scenes demonstrations, In this academic adventure students come to understand the fundamentals of acoustics and optics, and the different mediums that affect the transmission of light and sound waves. (Grades 6-8)

Energy & Waves Physics Lab 301 at Magic Kingdom® Park

Put the physics of light and sound into focus for your students. Discover the wide range of energy waves found in the Electromagnetic Spectrum and the practical uses of electromagnetic waves. in this academic adventure students will experiment with ultraviolet (UV) light, fluorescence and optics to see how they can be manipulated to create the immersive environment of Disney attractions. (Grades 9-12)

Properties of Motion Physics Lab 101 at Magic Kingdom® Park

Experience the basic principles of physics, such as Newton’s first law of motion, in action atMagic Kingdom® Park on select attractions. Students practice the scientific method as they travel through the park to learn how energy, force and acceleration operate the vehicles that bring their favorite attractions to life. (grades 3-5)

Properties of Motion Physics Lab 201 at Magic Kingdom® Park

Feel physics in action as you test the properties of force, motion and gravity on popular attractions.  Students will learn how physics is at the core of bringing Magic Kingdom® Park attractions to life. In this academic adventure student teams will act as Disney attraction engineers as they learn about and test Newton’s First Law of Motion, centripetal force, hydraulics and pneumatics. (Grades 6-8)

Properties of Motion Physics Lab 301 at Magic Kingdom® Park

Students will discover Magic Kingdom Park from a new angle as students learn the inner workings of their favorite rides and shows. During hands-on experiments in this academic adventure students work together to test potential and kinetic energy, centripetal force and vertical and lateral acceleration just as Disney attraction engineers do during the ride design process. (Grades 9-12)

How Things Move at Magic Kingdom® Park

Experience popular Magic Kingdom® Park attractions to understand how physics, magnetism and fuel are all applied to ride design.  Inquisitive young learners investigate the science of motion and the different forms of energy at work on popular Magic Kingdom Park attractions. In this academic adventure students act as designers to develop an attraction concept and model to test the different forms of motion. (Grades K-2) (2.5 hours)

The Evolution of Technology at Epcot®

Explore the attractions of Future World at Epcot® to develop an understanding of how human needs and wants drive the development and acceleration of technology. During this adventure, students will come to understand the broader scope of technology and how innovation is inspired. In this academic adventure, attraction experiences help demonstrate the factors that drive technology development and how mankind’s challenges are being aided by these advancements. (Grades 6-12)

Students will travel through Futureworld to identify elements of the Periodic Table, study polymers, and see chemical reactions happening all around them. In this academic adventure a visit to Mission: Space® will help uncover the relationship between chemistry, space exploration and technology. This program was developed in conjunction with the Education Division of the American Chemical Society. (Grades 4-5)

Investigate the synergy at work in Epcot® attractions, where creativity and technology merge to create world-class entertainment. Then learn to recognize synergy among the tools and systems that help us in our daily life. Students will explore how innovators use synergy to drive technological advancements to improve our quality of life. In this academic adventure students will be inspired through attraction experiences that demonstrate synergy and team challenges designed to stretch their imaginations to see what they can combine to generate new systems and tools. (Grades K-3)

The Science of Disney Imagineering: Gravity at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®

Discover how Walt Disney Imagineering uses the powers of science to develop our world-famous theme parks and attractions. Students will join an Imagineering Associate to explore how Walt Disney Imagineering uses Newton’s Laws of Motion to create multi-sensory experiences within the Disney Parks. In this academic adventure hands-on experiments challenge students to test the force of gravity and study how combining it with technology can create an enhanced affect. Students will uncover how our Imagineers are able to turn ordinary spaces into immersive spaces that challenge their perception of reality. (Grades 6-8 )

Environmental Studies

Keepers of the KingdomDiscovering Marine Life Conservation at Epcot®

Students play the role of marine conservationists to learn about the difficulties facing aquatic animals in the wild and ways they can help them. During this program your group will practice their observational skills to identify a variety of fish species, as well as predators and prey. They will also team up to brainstorm creative solutions for protecting our oceans and marine life.  (Grade 3-7)

Principles of Animal Behavior at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park

Explore the fascinating and surprising world of animal behavior. See exotic animals in their natural habitat and engage in hands-on activities to learn how they survive and thrive.  Inspire students to actively participate in wildlife preservation as they study animal behavior. Take an expedition with your students through the 500 acre habitat that is Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park to explore the intriguing world of animal behavior. During this interactive survival adventure, students will study, categorize and analyze data on animal behaviors and adaptations. (Grades 2-7)

Sustainable Practices in Wildlife Conservation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park

Bring environmental studies lessons to life with this program at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Park. Students gain new perspective while discovering how all people and animals are connected, and how each uniquely responds to environmental challenges. Your group will study different cultural perspectives on conservation, challenges to fossil fuels and the human development of renewable energy. Students will work together using their new knowledge to create an effective conservation action plan. (Grades 6-12)

Leadership Development

Disney’s Leadership Strategies at Epcot® 

Investigate proven management strategies employed by The Walt Disney Company, see how leadership spurs innovation, and promote personal and professional success.  Students will learn Disney management skills and business strategies for becoming an effective leader. In this academic adventure specially designed activities help students explore their entrepreneurial skills, practice communicating with and empowering people and discover how to inspire team excellence. (Grades 9-12)

Exploring Careers in the Marine Sciences at Epcot®

“Make a splash” and investigate five fascinating career tracks during this program. Discover how Disney scientists maintain the environment and inhabitants of the nearly 6 million gallon aquarium at the center of The Seas with Nemo & Friends, which is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Students will learn the education and training required for a marine science profession, understand the responsibilities of studying and caring for aquatic animals and how they can play a role in oceanic conservation. (Grades 7-12)

Managing Your Personal Brand at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®

This field study aims to help students become self-aware, self-disciplined and selfmotivated to increase their potential for becoming future leaders. Your group will learn that their choices tell their personal story and that they have the power to control their image. They will come to understand how to project a positive image, build their skill set through the collection of experience and apply them to leading others. (Grades 6-9)

Exploring Careers in the Zoological Sciences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park

Students will study the various animal science roles – from animal behaviorist to nutritionist – at Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Throughout this hours field study students Investigate the different people that it takes to care for the animals within the park, learn their responsibilities and the value of their individual contribution to the operation 

Liberal Arts

Fun and Learning at Disney WorldDiscovering the American Spirit at Magic Kingdom® Park

From the Wild West to the Declaration of Independence, students are transported back in time to experience American history through the stories and attractions in Liberty Square and Frontierland. Students will journey into Liberty Square to get better acquainted with our country’s great leaders and understand the impact of their influence. Then explore Frontierland to learn about sharing our cultural values and traditions from one generation to the next. In this academic adventure, students will also act as American pioneers to study the Gold Rush and the challenges of settling the western frontier. (Grades 4-12)

Fundamentals of Photo Storytelling at Epcot®

With Epcot® as the subject, students will learn the how to capture images that tell a story. In this program they will learn to observe with their creative lens and practice photography techniques that connecting people, places and events. This program was developed in conjunction with Jostens, a leader in celebrating and sharing memorable occasions. (Grades 7-12)

Techniques of Teamwork through Improvisation at Epcot®

In this program at Epcot®, students gain insights into how improvisational theories can be applied to real-life situations at home, school or in future careers. Every student plays a role in a mock production and they are taught professional communication techniques that, with practice, help build confidence, unleash creativity and cultivate teamwork. (Grades 6-12)

Introduction to Global Citizenship at Epcot®

Discover how technology, communication and commerce have bridged cultural gaps around the world as you navigate the international pavilions of Epcot® World Showcase.Students will explore the cultures of several nations represented within Epcot’s World Showcase where students will interact with international ambassadors to gain an understanding of how technology, communication and commerce bridge cultural gaps. In this 3 hour academic adventure students discover that while cultures vary, we all united in a global community. (grades 4-9)

Exploring Disney Animation History at Disney’s Hollywood Studios®

Discover the history, innovation and production processes behind animating some of the most beloved Disney films and characters. Enroll in the Animation Academy, birthplace of many Disney animated feature films, to discover the innovative animation processes Walt Disney developed that changed the way stories were told and brought beloved characters to life. During this program students will learn how to sketch a famous Disney character, experiment with early production processes and develop their storytelling skills. (Grades 3-12)

Backstage at La Nouba™ at Cirque du Soleil® – Downtown Disney®

Get an inside look at the international phenomenon that is Cirque du Soleil® and learn what it takes to bring this dazzling spectacle to the stage. Go backstage at La Nouba™ by Cirque du Soleil® to uncover the artistry, training, preparation and support systems required to produce more than 470 shows a year. During this behind-the-scenes tour of the theater including the stage, training facilities, costuming and props areas, students will realize the importance of communication, teamwork, practice and dedication to fulfilling their goals. During this program, students see how dance, music, theater, visual arts and technology meld into one breathtaking performance. (Grades 6-12) (2-hour)
